Installing Flexible Flyer Swing Set

Flash for Firefox on x86_64
I managed to play Flash video on my x86_64 system. Of course, only I by the 32-bit version of Firefox was also installed. Here are the instructions: I first installed by Firefox.i386

yum. This must be in the repository at

/ etc / yum.repos.d /
be created:

[updates-i386] name = Fedora Core

$ releasever - i386 - Updates baseurl =

http://download.fedora.redhat .com / pub / fedora / linux / core / updates / $ releasever/i386 /
# mirrorlist = http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/updates-released-fc

$ releasever enabled = 1 gpgcheck =

1
gpgkey = file: / / / etc / pki / rpm-gpg / RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora

Then use "yum install firefox-1.5.0.4-1.2.fc5.i386" . Reinstall Now is the second version of Firefox on /

usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.4.
The next step is to download the tarball from Macromedia Flash Player 7 plugin from the

Adope homepage

. In the home directory of root extract. Then edit the file
flashplayer-installer

. The rewrite line 250

TEMPARCH = 'uname-m'

follows: TEMPARCH = i386
thus saving you the error message that we are using the wrong system. Then the script as root and specify an installation directory "/ usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.4 /". Alternatively, you can drop the two files "flashplayer.xpt" and "libflashplayer.so" in the subdirectory "plugins" in Firefox (usually / usr / lib / firefox-xxx) copy. This should work well.

Creating Finally, a separate application launcher for our i386 Firefox. The start command is "/ usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.4/firefox. The browser function of the plugin can now "about: plugins" to be controlled.
Was it not difficult, right? ;-)
