Lincoln National Flexible Premium Adjustable Life

Psion 5mx pro via IrDa link

In this article I describe how to connect a Psion to an infrared connection to the computer, for example, to make a backup or to transfer individual files via FTP. The conditions were mentioned in the previous article. This is the IrDA port on the device "/ dev/ircomm0" ready to use.

Next, you need the package
plptools
that there is unfortunately not as Fedora RPM. That is why I created it. You can do it here
apply for Fedora Core 5 and here
for Fedora 7. After installation, you should run 'ldconfig' so that the new libraries are used.

You should have the Psion from the infrared device and turn on set. "Communication" you ask "infrared" and "115200" field. The command creates a connection to the Psion.

Now you can with "plpftp" a connection to transfer individual files or restore hang with "/ usr / sbin / plpnfsd" the filesystem of the Psion in the Linux system. The latter is a prerequisite for a backup with "plpbackup.
