Today was ready. The first summit of the year for me but the first summit of their life for my girlfriend. Otten had with the peak in Schmirntal Although I "only" 800 m but picked quite mixed Tour. From the parking lot at the new settlement between St. Jodok and Schmirn (after the sweeping right) it starts, steep path up a forest. Everything is already marked out and extended the aisle of the many to shut down a runway. However, it is enough snow there, so stones are not an issue yet.
runs above the tree line, the trail then switchbacks up to the summit. The slope just below the summit is to go a little more difficult, since there is already steep but the track and there was often slipped away from the sail. Not exactly the ideal conditions for the first summit, but my Schatzi mastered like a pro and entitled proud we enjoyed the summit, the first and only sun and the beautiful panoramic view with a distant view as they are rarely seen.
The departure of the worn summit slope was difficult but soon you could escape right over and ski down to the forest to fantastic powder snow slopes - if you like. Since the exit is not much forest clearing hergab we left the forest road.
